OOIIO Architecture studio was founded in 2010 by Joaquín Millán Villamuelas, Spanish architect, graduate of the Technical University of Madrid. Hitherto, Joaquín practiced architecture in the number of leading modern studios, including Foster + Partners and OMA of Rem Koolhaas.
“We are concentrated on uniqueness and know that not every structure is architecture. We create Architecture”, describes OOIIO Architecture studio its work with these words, being a team of designers and professional constructors working in Madrid.

OOIIO Architecture works on projects of different types and scale, for instance, design of a chair, a house, a stable, a multi-apartment complex and urban public space. But the aim of the Spanish studio is always uniqueness which is called “singularity” (a term in Philosophy) by Madrid designers and constructors.

In 2008 – 2009, the time when Spanish and world construction markets dropped significantly due to the financial crisis, OOIIO Architecture grew and became one of the most active architectural studios. The secret of this stability lies in the talent of OOIIO to manage limited resources fruitfully and to get the most for the least.

To seek emotions, to stimulate imagination and to create aesthetics are the objectives set by Millan for his colleagues from OOIIO during the work on each new project. However, mind, technologies and efficiency remain a base for the Spanish studio.
